"Sometimes you need to take a risk"

Countless evenings in the company of good cigars, frequently found my father and me engaged in career contemplations. His desire to own his own business combined with my burning passion to exit the rat race, created our natural Ying & Yang. Never did we imagine the solution was literally sitting in our hands. The very cigars we were smoking, searching for answers, were the answer.

Business met pleasure right smack dab in our cigar. Truth be told, we entertained the idea of owning our own cigar shop half jokingly, thinking out loud "wouldn't that be nice" or "we could make that work". Yet these thoughts would dissipate along with the sweet smoke of our cigars, eventually returning us to reality.

I remember the lunch well, sitting down with dad and wondering what his reaction was going to be as I posed the idea of actually opening the oft-discussed Cigar Shop. To my surprise, he did not dismiss the idea and we laid ground work on that day for what would eventually become Cigar Mojo.

As cigar smokers for well over a decade, with visits to Cuba and the Dominican Republic, plus pilgrimages to a majority of the local cigar shops, we had a solid foundation for starting. Further education arrived via meetings with Cigar shop owners, my employment at the Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop, and constant research and refinement on what our business plan entailed, helped us sharpen our focus. Yet nothing provided more clarity than filler, binder, and wrapper lit on fire in conjunction with hours of conversation.

A great location, extreme enthusiasm, and a love of Cigars has us on track to get our MOJO going this summer. We look forward to meeting you and trust you will get your MOJO back, at Cigar Mojo!
